Ok, I will begin this post with some lyrics of the past, “I’m back in the saddle again, out where a friend is a friend!” There may be a few of you Romeos out there that can remember the words to this song (like in 1950's). Well, enough of that! I had a welcomed vacation and I thank Mick for his kind gesture for a brief getaway to visit family and friends. Thank you, Mick! Your leadership and friendship are priceless!

Now then, turning to the business at hand, next Wednesday’s ride will be to head out to Chris’ Cafe in Greeley, Ks. At the time of this posting, I see the weather forecast looks like it will be 65º for a high.

If you have never been here before you won’t want to miss out on the opportunity to taste Chris’ down-home cooking. You can order breakfast or lunch here, your choice. You might even want to make her acquaintance while you’re there. You’ll not find a more welcoming hostess than this lady. If you’re liking biscuits and gravy or a good “Scrambler” with all the trimmings and seasonings, this is the place. It’ll keep you from getting hungry for a month of Sunday’s (this may be a bit of an exaggeration) but hopefully you get my drift. “Happy Trails” to you all and I hope to see you there!

This day was about as gorgeous and perfect a riding day as anyone could ask for! I’m still scratching my head about how Don & Mike got to our destination before I did. Could day-light-savings have anything to do with it? Hummmm! Well, be that as it may, what an exciting gathering we had.

The last official bike count was 32 and that was before others were still coming in. Some were asking what the number of riders was after all was said and done. We stopped counting after the number 40. It was quite the rally and great to see some of you I’ve not seen for a while. Ok, let’s get right to it and witness another great day’s event.
