Besides Melissa had given me instructions to bring home some APPLES 
Since West Oaks has a pretty good lunch I headed over there for lunch. I wasn't impressed with their selection of apples, so after lunch I headed over to Marker Miller Orchard. I found that had a better selection of apples, but I wasn't blown away. From visiting with the clerks I think it is just the beginning of apple picking. Some varieties aren't being harvested yet, and because of the dry summer, the apples are smaller.
Nevertheless, Melissa was happy with the apples, cider and apple donuts.
