South Central ROMEO Breakfast Ride: Wednesday, August 16, 9:30 AM

Post by roginoz »

Once again, the forecast is for dry weather next Wednesday. Maybe it'll actually be correct this time around. Regardless, the food will be good and the company tolerable for those who show up.

We haven't been to Mom's in almost a year, so it's off to Whitewater next Wednesday. Mom's Cafe is a bit small, but they can handle the fifteen or so riders we've been having lately.

Whitewater is about thirty-five miles from Wichita, a bit farther from Mulvane, and a bit closer to Moundridge. There's always the option of taking a longer route home (or on the way, if you get lost...)

TIME:

9:30 AM, Wednesday, August 16

Mom’s Cafe

Mom's Café and their one server got into it and made it happen in proper time. Wonderful, filling food. All is great at Mom's, we will go again.

We had a good group of 21 ROMEO's today. 20 arrived on 19 bikes, one drove their car to Mom's. The total one way mileage today, 695
comfortable miles. We all got to Mom's on time, even battling the cage wreck on interstate 135 which seriously clogged the traffic. Junior and Jerry from Oxford tied for high mileage riders, 55 miles each. All riders rode a comfortable distance within 35 to 50 miles to total the 695 miles.

We will do it again next Wednesday, still on breakfast schedule. Check back to see the location if it is not already post.

Photos below. Photo one is MOM's current very faded sign, image 2 is what I managed to edit it into. See ya next week - Charley

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure.
