JULY 19TH, 10 AM, BREAKFAST or LUNCH, BANJO’S BAKERY & CAFE, TOPEKA, KS

Post by Al Hayes »

Here’s an excellent breakfast or lunch place which is located on SW Topeka Blvd in Pauline, a suburb of Topeka, close to old Forbes Field. Banjo's Cafe prides themselves on making their customers always feel at home with everything to your liking. Their motto has long been, “you are more than just a face, you are like family.” The last time there was most comfortable, with the freshest of food, as well as top-notch customer service. The breakfast menu runs all day and the lunch the menu begins at 10:45am to keep anyone's hunger satisfied.

When booking this ride and talking to Connie, one of the waitresses, I asked if she was familiar with our Romeo Riders. Her answer was, “Very much so, and no reservations are needed for the Romeos!

The weather looks like summer and a bit on the toasty side, with the long-range forecast predicting sunny with a high in the 90’s! Hey, all I can say, it’s summer! “HAPPY TRAILS” to everyone! Ride safe and I hope to see you all there!

There has been such a good turnout for the “Early Bird Romeos” breakfast group. Many of us miss seeing those of you who come early. But it’s understood about the various needs for riding early and leaving early. This is what Romeos is all about. Every rider is welcomed to join us anytime, come whenever you can and stay as long as you want.

That being said, I’ve asked Swanee to take pictures of our “Early Birds” group. Here are some of today’s photos he took:

With overcast skies, it made for cool riding today. No one got soaked or wet which made things even better! When getting to the cafe the “Early Birds,” were all leaving as the “Brunch Bunch” were just getting there. Yes, and then came the lunch guys much later. Our waitresses were fabulous and did an excellent job serving us and made us feel right at home. So then, that being said, here is how the day began and unfolded:
