A great friend and mentor passed away today, May 3, 2023. Randy Roberts lived in Butler, MO, we were co-coordinators for the Kansas City Area Romeos for almost 5 years, before his health made him step back, we were so thankful that John E. stepped up to take over as south coordinator. Randy had ridden to several Romeo RTE's lately and had joined the Eastern Kansas Romeos in Osawatomie, KS today, enjoying a beautiful day and friends. He collapsed while washing his bike in Rich Hill, MO on the way home. Randy's saying was "Proud to be a Romeo", we're proud to have called you friend. Our sincerest sympathies to Carol and family.

Option A this week is Amsterdam Cafe, Amsterdam, MO. Amsterdam Cafe is always a great place, a ROMEO favorite, and one of the places Randy always used as a backup when there was a glitch at another restaurant. It's about 20 minutes from Butler so 9:30 should be a good time to have a leisurely breakfast with time for those of us going to Randy's service to be there before 11:00. I hope to see you there.

Option B this week will be Hilltop Market and Cafe in Easton, KS. An old favorite for breakfast, lunch and pie, they love having us. Breakfast till 11:00, it looks like a good day, 9:30 should be a good time.

There were 18 Romeos, 13 bikes and one truck at Hilltop Mkt and Cafe. I'm out of state, so my lovely wife Wanda attended in my place and took some pictures.
Thank you dear!
Rest in peace brother Randy, sorry I couldn't be there.

We had 29 ROMEOs in Amsterdam this morning. After the usual great food and service, most of us had a nice 20+ mile ride through the Missouri countryside to Butler where we were joined by a LOT more ROMEOs for Randy's service. We were well represented--there were too many for me to count. It was a nice service and we learned that there was so much more to Randy that just the ROMEO we all knew.
