Boy, wasn’t our ride and day at Dover a real blowout last Wednesday? My guess is that we were tired of winter and wanting to shed our anxieties and symptoms of cabin fever.

Looks as though spring has sprung, but it’s still going to be a bit on the chilly side for riding! The weather seems to be rollercoasting on us. Tuesday is predicting almost 80º and then Wednesday takes a dip into the 50’s. There is a low chance of precipitation and looks like a fairly good riding day for us. I would wager to say that most of us will surely want to be riding somewhere on Tuesday with the climate pushing 80º.

This week’s ride looks to be a “LUNCH ONLY” on the city square in Oskaloosa, Ks. This bar and grill has an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. You’re always greeted with a smile. Their menu has many assorted selections to choose from, and their burgers are nothing to sneeze at. You may even like to try their Shrimp Basket. It’s a perfect choice (not overcooked) and their chicken strips are the biggest ever.

So, let’s see if we can all saddle up and join the gang this coming week. Until then, “Happy Trails” to you all and hope to see you there!

Well, “Old Man Winter” was still hanging on, not willing to give in to warmer spring weather. That being said, it was another frigid day to ride. We had a good crowd in spite of it being cooler … and had plenty of sunshine to keep us a little warmer for the afternoon ride home.

I must share with you all, I was having so much fun yesterday that I forgot to take photos of all the bikes. But all was not lost because, Mike Vanderwiede, from Ozawkie, Kansas, came to my rescue and sent me photos he had taken. Thank you, Mike, you’re a “Godsend.” On that happy note let's take a look at these photos.
