"Flashbacks Cafe" in Tonganoxie is our pick for this next Wednesday, breakfast, or lunch. This is another one of our favorites. They serve breakfast all day long and lunch specials are grilled cheeseburgers or a big ole tenderloin. Debbie says she will be eagerly looking forward to seeing all of us ROMEO’s again.
Snow is forecast for Tuesday but with a little luck on Wednesday and keeping our fingers crossed, hopefully it’ll all be behind us for our ride to Tonganoxie. Then again after last week’s ride to Perry when 25 of us showed up with bad weather, it certainly impressed us all, and particularly April, the waitress, after thinking there would only be 6 of us to show up. I must say that we have some real loyal diehards, meaning weather doesn’t seem to detour them from joining together on our weekly rides. I want to welcome a new rider, Bruce McEnroe to the Romeo Riders. If you haven’t had the opportunity to welcome him, you’ll appreciate getting acquainted with him.
Anyone and everyone can join in with us either on 2, 3, or 4 wheels. You are never too young or too old to ride with the Romeo Riders. There are no rules, programs, dues, or membership fees, and you don’t have to be “Retired” or “Old” to join us. You will always be welcomed when joining our most interesting crowd. I think you will find it worth your time and could make the rest of your day.
So “Happy Trails” to you all and hope to see you there.

Re: JANUARY 25, 10:00 AM, FLASHBACKS CAFE, TONGANOXIE, KS
I woke up this morning feeling mighty fine and anxious to meet with our Romeo gang in Tonganoxie. After a quick cup of tea, I then threw my wraps on to go for my usual 3 mi walk into a slushy snow. The temperature was right at 32 degrees. I keep telling myself, this is not bad, it certainly could be a whole lot worse. When the weather gets like this, I take to the streets instead of the sidewalks. “Ole Man Winter” is closing in on us but, with all due respect, it is wintertime and lunch rides are the order of the day.
We fell just short of a “Bakers Doz.” We were few but the time spent was none the less enjoyable! The food and service was reasonable but the fellowship with everyone was even better. I’ll stop my chattering and get right to the photos that always display our unfolding events and rides.
