For next week’s ride I’m pulling the distance in a little bit. This one will be a salty one, no pun intended. The temperatures are falling into the 30’s & with a high in the 40’s. We haven’t done Mexican lunch in a while and thought maybe The Salty Iguana in Lawrence, Ks would be good place to meet. They are claiming as their bragging rights, “We are where the spirit of Kansas City meets the flavors of Mexico. With family-friendly lunch and dinner specials and a fun, enjoyable atmosphere for drinks, this is the place where everyone comes together for good times.” This is a lunch ride, no breakfast. So, what ya say we go check it out. “Happy Trails” and hope to see ya there!

This is a good news/bad news story. The bad news is I ran out of gas on the way home from Lawrence. I did the math and everything. Disclaimer: math was never my strong suit. The good news is I’m really quite good at getting lucky - as the pic below will affirm…
Also, I’m gonna have to contact the complaint department. When I initially posted the pic, its orientation came out rotated 90 degrees clockwise. In an attempt to rectify this, I rotated the photo 90 degrees counter clockwise before posting - and it still came out like this. Sometimes ya just have to know when to quit. This is that time.

What a frigid day, but once again, a day of fun as we gathered for lunch at “The Salty Iguana” in Lawrence, Ks. I told the establishment that we probably would have 15 to 25 show up on this frigid Wednesday, and BINGO, we hit it right square on the #25! The food was delicious, and the servers did an excellent job in keeping us warm, happy, and making us feel right at home.
Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves so much that it seemed to lead them to stay a little longer than usual (then again, I’m not sure the cause for everyone lingering longer was for the warmth of pure enjoyment or the physical warmth and not wanting to leave and face the frigid temperatures outdoors). Well, I’m going to assume it was a little of both. For me, it’s always an enjoyable time when gathering at each and every ROMEO ride and never seems to get old, warm or cold. It was a pleasure to see each of you today, and we have many photos to look at. So, let’s take a look at what unfolded this frigid day.
