Tues 11/8/22 Amsterdam Cafe, Amsterdam, MO or Roxanne's Platte City (changed from PARKVILLE Cafe, Parkville), MO

Option A -We are going back to one of our favorite restaurants this Tuesday, Amsterdam Cafe. They always take good care of us with good food and service with breakfast until 11:00 and lunch after. The forecast for Tuesday is scattered thunderstorms early but just cloudy after 9 with a high in the 70's. 10:00 sounds like a good time. Check the weather to see whether rain gear or more wheels are needed.

OPTION B CHANGE: We were just contacted by Roxanne's Parkville Monday evening, they will be closed Tuesday due to mechanical issues. Please go to Rozanne's in Platte City for 11-8-22 Romeo Ride, sorry for the inconvenience. Again, Roxanne's change to Platte City, MO. Please help spread the word.

Don't forget to vote Tuesday if you haven't already!

Option B this week is a familiar name, Roxanne's, but we are visiting their Parkville Cafe. They have a group opening on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays that we can now take advantage of for Romeos. Food and service are very good, the waitresses even know us because some work for both cafes. Roxanne's Parkville Cafe suggested 9:30 as a good time for us to visit them, breakfast is served all day, lunch begins at 10:30. Weather could go either way, so, 2, 3 or 4 wheels, see you there.

Don't forget to vote Tuesday if you haven't already!

27 ROMEOs enjoyed the excellent food and outstanding service today at the Amsterdam Cafe. Randy and his crew always make us feel welcome. They are the reason Amsterdam is one of our most popular destinations. Like most today, I spent about two hours lingering over breakfast and coffee and visiting.

Al asked me to mention that the Eastern Kansas Romeos are working to set up a source for T-shirts (and possibly caps). The process is to have and initial bulk order then, after the initial order, we will be able to order individual ROMEO T-shirts directly from Threads in Manhattan. Brad Schoen is heading up this initiative. His contact information and all the details are posted in the Eastern Kansas Weekly Ride Forum at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7368&sid=cf907e4f6d ... 3178e70132. Deadline for initial order is November 16.

Well, it was one of those Romeo ride setups! We only have some Tuesdays we can ride to Roxanne's in Parkville because of other regular groups attendance on Tuesdays, finally we get to set them up and they lose the ventilation and exhaust systems. When Rozanne's mom called we worked out a solution quickly, come on, we've been flooded out at Harold's Smokehouse in Freeman, RC's in Martin City had an electrical fire that shut them down hours before our Christmas party and plenty of other last minute complications, so this wasn't earth shattering, but a definite pain to get the word out.
Ted K. said he went to Parkville, there was a sign directing the Romeos to Platte City. With all that, we still had 23 Romeos at Platte City. Thanks everyone for your patience, it was a good time at Roxanne's Cafe, Platte City. We'll try Parkville again, later.
