For our next roundup let’s head out for Roxanne’s Cafe in Platte City. The weather has been for some time now favoring us with our rides. Right now, it’s showing in the 60’s & 70’s and how grateful we will be if it comes to fruition. Our group hasn’t been to Roxanne’s for a while. If you have recently been there, I think you’ll enjoy the double dip. Most Romeos are no strangers to Roxanne’s. If it’s still what I remembered, you will find it a most welcoming and relaxing place to eat and hang out. I have always found it to be among the friendliest and most welcoming of restaurants!
FYI: If you haven’t noticed our T-Shirt blog by Brad Schoen (one of our own) and you’re interested in ordering one, you will want to read his blog for all the info needed. If you have any questions, contact Brad (our point man for this project). So then, what do you say, let’s saddle up and make our way to Platte City for a bundle of fun! “Happy Trails” to everyone and I hope to see you there!

Re: NOVEMBER 2ND, 10:00 AM, BREAKFAST OR LUNCH, ROXANNE’S CAFE, PLATTE CITY, MO
Well, I think we had an absolutely perfect day weather wise to ride, and it seems to me that everyone was having a great time kicking tires and sharing stories. Roxanne and her crew did a splendid job hosting us. This place has always been more than welcoming each and every time we have come.
There was one spoiler moment, though, for one of our Romeo riders. Scott from Platte City went to get on his bike to ride home, he learned his battery was “deader than a doornail”, and no one seemed to be able to resuscitate it. It surely didn't make Scott’s day, Bummer!!!! The only positive thing you can say about it is that he had cycle insurance with roadside assistance to help him. You have all of our sympathies, Scott, and hope your day was not totally ruined.
For those who are interested, Romeo shirt orders are still being taken until November 16th, and Brad will be at our next round up for those who want to make an order. For those who aren’t yet aware of our Romeo T-Shirt post, you can find it on the very top of our Eastern Kansas web page. It’s worth looking at! We're seeing a lot of activity on our website and orders are rolling in. OK, let's see who all was here today, show and tell time:
