Tues 11/1/22 Mary Jane's in Warrensburg MO or Waverly Apple BBQ in Waverly, MO

Option A this week is another new place for the ROMEOs -- Mary Jane’s Café in Warrensburg, MO. Fred recommended this restaurant, and they are glad to have us visit. They serve breakfast all day and lunch starting at 10:30. Right now, Tuesday’s weather looks good with a high of 70. 10:00 seems like a good time to me. We should get a nice ride in to kick off November. See you there.

Option B this week will be Waverly Apple BBQ in Waverly, MO. They are excited to have us back, I'm excited to eat then visit the orchards for apples and fall produce. They no longer serve breakfast, doors open at 11:00. I know some of you have eaten the BBQ and liked it, but the Tuesday special is the tenderloin, the sandwich only for 5.99 or the sandwich and a side for 8.99, either of which is quite the bargain, drinks are extra. Hope to see you there.

If you are looking for apples or fall produce Meierer Produce and Orchard east of Lexington, apples and jams at Rasa Orchards on 24 hwy at 213 west of Dover and Peter's Market east of Waverly on hwy 65. There are others, but I know all of these are quality producers.

We had 31 at Mary Jane's Cafe this morning, including two I met as I was leaving town (Mike and Don). It was a perfect riding day, cool to start and warm for the return trip. Food and service were excellent and they said they would love to have us back. Thanks for the recommendation Fred. I learned a lot today. Loud was there with a story about what happens when you ride 1/2 mile more than tire wear will allow. I am changing a tire as soon as I post this. I also learned that sometimes the coffee pot is a maple syrup pot and you need to check before filling your own cup--hot maple syrup tastes great but you can't drink very much. I hope you enjoyed the morning as much as I did visiting with new and old friends.

Wanda and I were suffering from a bug, so Lee C. took some great pictures and sent them to me, he said there were 11 at Waverly Apple BBQ today. Looked like some good food and bs-ing, sorry we had to miss it. Thanks for the help Lee, it was appreciated.
