By now, most of us don’t need to be reminded that you don’t have to be “OLD” or “RETIRED” to ride with us. You don’t even need a 2-wheeler. All you need is to come as you are, whether on 2, 3, or 4 wheels, and you will be warmly welcomed every time. If you don’t already have a place to be or go, bring yourself, husband, or wife, a significant other, neighbor or friend, every Wednesday all year long. If you are wondering how to find out where we may be meeting each week, go to our online WEB page: romeoriders.com/forum. You will discover that there are several groups to choose from. We are the “Eastern Kansas” group. If you need a map to lead you to the destination, just click on the Google Maps Link and it will give you a map to the destination. There are no dues required, just destination rides within a100-mile radius of Topeka, Ks. Also, anyone interested in ordering a Romeo T-Shirt, Brad Schoen will be taking orders next Wednesday.

This week I’m choosing a ride that many of our ROMEO RIDERS already know about and is one of our favorites. This is the cafe located near the Pomona Dam on Ks. Hwy 268. The cafe has graciously reserved us a back room. They serve breakfast and lunch both, so you can come as early or late as you wish, it won’t matter the time. Just come and enjoy the day with other like minds! “Happy Trails” to you all and hope to see you there!

The weather was a little chilly, but we had a great turnout and a beautiful afternoon to ride. There were actually two waves of riders today. We started the morning off with filling the 1st row of tables in the back room of the café, and then the lunch riders came and filled the 2nd row of tables. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food and fellowship time together. The service, help and waiters did a fabulous job of making us feel right at home. Many of the early birds lingered longer than usual, which leads me to think they were enjoying the moment and didn’t seem to have a need to hurry home.

I hope everyone got a chance to get out and ride in the warmer afternoon weather. I know I did, along with about 5 others. Hey, did everyone get a chance to see Merle’s new Indian bike? If you didn’t, take a good look on our next roundup. I was able to get a good photo shot taken in the parking lot. You will see it as I share today’s photos.
