South Central ROMEO Lunch Ride: Wednesday, September 28, 11:00 AM

We haven't been to Mom's in quite some time, so it's off to Whitewater, next Wednesday. Mom's Cafe is a bit small, but they can handle the twenty or so riders we've been having lately. Ordering one of the specials will get you served more quickly, but there are plenty of other choices on the menu. They serve breakfast (which is also pretty good) until 10:30, for those of you who arrive early.

Whitewater is about thirty-five miles from Wichita, a bit farther from Mulvane, and a bit closer to Moundridge. There's always the option of taking a longer route home (or on the way, if you get lost...)

Two thumbs up to Mom's Café! Super morning to ride to Whitewater and enjoy fried chicken, pork roast dinner and more. The two ladies served us the meals of choice and kept us happy.

We had 23 ROMEO'S today! Total bike count was 19, with two riding two up and another two arrived in a Ford pickup truck. Total bike mileage one way, 736 miles. Long distance rider was me from Mulvane with 49 one way miles. Bob Wilton marked down 20 miles, seems short for Bob as most from Wichita list 33 to 42 miles. The short distance rider was Moundridge Ron, with a back breaking, arm crushing wimpy 17 miles. And welcome to Rudy, riding 20 miles from Towanda for his first ROMEO meal.
