South Central LUNCH Ride: Wednesday, September 7, 11:00 AM

NOTE: WE'VE SWITCHED BACK TO LUNCH RIDES.

It's time to switch back to lunch rides, so we'll head to a ROMEO favorite. Lunch Wednesday is at the Latham Saloon. The Latham Saloon is more of a restaurant than a bar. They have a daily special, burgers and other sandwiches, and salads. The special for Wednesday is a really good chicken fried steak. They don't open until 11:00, so those who arrive early will have to kick tires out front.

Latham is about fifty miles, and fifty minutes, from Wichita. If it's a particularly good riding day, the long way home via Cambridge might be in order.

Yep!! The Latham Saloon was ready and had a few steaks cooking as we arrived. One at our table enjoyed a burger, another had a salad and all others enjoyed the superb chicken fried steak. Already looking forward to another trip to the Saloon. The steak is super!!

We had a total of 28 ROMEO's today. 26 rolled in on 2 and 3 wheel motorcycles and 2 arrived in one pickup truck. Total mileage of the motorcycles was 1458! Long distance rider was the lady from Hutchinson, Kathryn with 106 one way miles. Riders showing 25 to 86 miles filled the gap. We welcome the Belle Fourche South Dakota rider, stick around and ride with us weekly!

Next week several of us will be riding in Arkansas doing the Romeo fall rendezvous, others will be meeting for lunch in Kansas. Check back for the location.
