Boy howdy, we got us another new place to ride. It’s a new place but a familiar hostess. For those of you who may be asking, “Where is Greely, Ks?” Ahaa, I thought you might ask. So, follow 169 Hwy. It’s located right between Osawatomie & Garnett. If you have never been there, you will want to taste Chris’ down-home cooking, and you might even want to make her acquaintance. You’ll not find a more welcoming hostess than this lady. I was there just last week, and if you like a good “Scrambler” it will get you through the day. And if you try her “Haystack” with gravy all over it, Mumm, Mumm, Good!!! It’ll not only get you through the day but through all of next week!

It was not too long ago her cafe moved from Osawatomie to Greely, and already the Café is the talk of the town. So, what do you say, let’s saddle up and make our way down to Greely and get some of the finest home cooking you’ll find anywhere. You’ll want to bring a big appetite! What a day! I will use an expression my dear old Grammy used, “My, My, My, My, My!” What a fun day it was, everyone came out of the “Woodwork” from North, South, East & West to gather at “Chis’ Cafe.” To use another expression when I was growing up, it was a “Barn Burner” day. Everything just came together to make it a perfect day for riding and gathering.

Before I arrived at 9:45 am there had been 45 bikes parked on both sides of main street in front of the cafe. Some had already left, and I met some of them heading home when I was coming into Greeley (Frank, did I get that right? Just a little inside joke between Frank and me) LOL!

Hey, everybody, heads up! The “Fall Rendezvous” is just around the corner. Roger Smith has posted it on the forum. Hope to see some of you there.
