Option 1- this week we will revisit a Johnson County KS restaurant chain, Pegah’s. However, we haven’t been to this location before. It’s located on the northeast corner of K-7 and Johnson Drive in Shawnee at the north end of the strip mail. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Weather forecast is 92 degrees and sunny, not bad for August. 9:00 sounds good to me. I also want to take a moment to thank Randy for his years as coordinator and I hope that I do not disappoint him. Bear with me as I learn the ropes.

Option B this week will be a favorite, Hilltop Market and Cafe in Easton, KS. I think 9:00 is a good time, breakfast serves till 10:00, and as always, pie goes well with bacon! Hope to see you there.
Welcome John E. (Long John) as the new KC Area South Romeos Coordinator! That's a lot of title for a volunteer position, we know you'll do great!

We had 17 regular Romeos and after I talked to a couple guys at a side table, found out we had some new Romeos for a total of 19, one, a first timer from Topeka. Apologies, I forgot their names, hey, I barely remember who I am! Thanks for coming, we really hope to see you again. The food and service were good as always.
We had 27+ at Pegah's this morning with a couple riding unique bikes. Joe had his new corvette-powered trike and Bob rode his hamstring-powered, electric-assist, bike. I failed to get to the parking lot for pictures of these vehicles. Service and food were excellent and we learned that our waitress, Tess, was the first person hired when Pegah's opened this location 9 years ago. I was happy that several Romeos braved KC cross town rush hour traffic to get to the west side of town.
