Some of you were asking at our last ride where are we riding next week. I’ve been thinking about the Dutch Country Cafe in Garnett. This Cafe is one of our favorites, a great dining experience that is built around the great traditions of the Amish communities. For a very reasonable price they offer a large selection of homestyle Dutch cooking and baked goods.

FYI: Last time here you may have remembered that there was an automatic gratuity charge on your receipt. Not to dwell on the negative here, that won’t happen this time. Just recently I have been given positive assurance from Sam (the Mgr.) that this will not happen again. I also took the opportunity to assure him by sharing how generous the ROMEOS were when it came to leaving a good tip for those who graciously serve us our food. So, if you find an automatic gratuity charge on your receipt, let me or Sam know before you leave, and it will be taken care of immediately.

Sam expressed how helpful it is the way we stagger our arrivals. You all are the greatest and I have no problem bragging you up! So, what do you say we try this again? Hope to C-ya there, and “Happy Trails” to you all until we meet again!

The weather was almost perfect and there was a good turnout for today’s ride. However, I didn’t get a precise count of how many came. That seems to be the way things work when you’re having too much fun. There was an estimated count by our “Schoolmaster” of about 29, but that was after several came and left and even more came in after that. There was a good-sized group for both breakfast & lunch. The lunch crowd gave it up a little after 1 pm. All and all we had enough for a party, and a party it was!

Jenny, our waitress, did a fabulous job in seeing that everyone’s needs were met and did it with a smile. She made us feel right at home. Sam (the mgr.) had the day off but stopped by to see how everything was going for us. I want thank you, Sam, for the “Great food & Great service.” Things went just as promised with everyone content and happy.
