"We are working on a Florence Grand Prix for May 29, 2022 in Florence KS..
This Group is for Updates on the 50th Anniversary of the Florence Grand Prix The Grand Prix started in 1972 and ended in 1978. Up to 600 riders and 10k spectators filled the small city of Florence Kansas each year during this race on the Sunday of Memorial Weekend. We are working hard to get this race going again this coming Memorial Day Weekend 2022. We have a very large group of guys and gals who want to help get this thing going. It is a 10 mile lap and 10 laps of city brick streets, gravel, pastures, trees, ditches and much much more. In 1977 and 1978 World Champion Rolf Tibblin entered the race and won the open class both times.
