Sad News RIP Jerry

I received a call form Cara Webb Thursday informing me that her father Jerry (Spider) Webb had passed away in Hutchinson. Jerry was a good friend to many ROMEOs and will be sorely missed.

Hutchinson - Jerry "Spider" Webb, 82, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his home in Hutchinson. Jerry was born May 29, 1938 in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Hazel (Anderson) Connery and grandparent's Ed and Eudora Anderson. On October 25, 1959 he was united in marriage to Judy Huey in Hutchinson. To this union, they were blessed with two children, Eric and Cara.

Jerry was a graduate of Hutchinson High School class of 1958. He then attended Hutchinson Community College. Jerry was in the Navy Reserve for 8 years. He enjoyed his lifelong career as a machinist, working at Cessna for 19 years, Consolidated Manufacturing for 12 years and KMG for 6 years. He also owned and operated SMS Machine Shop. Jerry was an avid motor cross racer and was a state champion vintage motor cross racer. He enjoyed fixing up cars and would take them drag racing. He enjoyed racing with his son and grandson. He also had a love for dogs. Jerry was a member of the ROMEO Club, Prairie Pups Motorcycle Club and the Cheybogan Car Club.

He is preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Shelby Jane Stowell.

He is survived by his wife Judy; a son Eric (Eileen) Webb, a daughter, Cara Mullen; five grandchildren, Nicole (Tony) Hall, Todd (Stacy) Webb, Nate (Chelsey) Fehl, Dylan Fehl and Eranne Lenz; and seven great grandchildren, Kadi Hall, Baylee Hall, Dexter Webb, Peyton Hall, Harrison Webb, Cooper Fehl, Parker Fehl and several step grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Ave, Hutchinson, KS with Pastor Linda Ewert officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2021 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to Hutchinson Humane Society and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
