Max's has been in business forever, almost. It is a smaller cafe so we have not gone there since I have been riding with the ROMEOS. My wife and I go there for breakfast nearly every week. They usually have two specials for breakfast and two for lunch plus the menu to order from.
The address is somewhat misleading as it is on National Street but I still have trouble believing it. The easiest way to find the cafe is get on highway 54 west and go to the west side of Fort Scott. The cafe is in the building just east of the Phillips 66 gas station about 200 yards on the street just south of Highway 54.
