The weather is starting to get a bit more unpredictable as we move into fall. Right now, it looks like next Wednesday may be cold and damp. Probably a good day to stay fairly close in. It's only thirty miles to Whitewater, for lunch at Mom's, so weather shouldn't be too much of an issue. It's been about eight months since we've been there.

Mom's Cafe is a bit small, but there should be room for the numbers we've been having lately. The Wednesday specials are pan fried chicken and roast pork; one of the specials will get you served more quickly, but there are plenty of other choices on the menu if you'd like something else. They serve breakfast (which is also pretty good) until 10:30, for those of you who arrive early. (And, there's homemade jam and jelly to go on your toast...)

If the weather looks halfway decent, ride to lunch next Wednesday (with the switch back to standard time, we'll have an extra hour for things to warm up...) If it just doesn't look like a motorcycling day, hop in the car or truck and join us for a good meal at a favorite place.

It turned out to be a better day than we initially expected. Cool, but not too bad, and sunny. We had twenty-six people show up for breakfast or lunch in Whitewater, with 15 motorcycles traveling 481 miles one way to Mom's.

Charlie will have some photos up soon, and I'll get next week's ride posted in the next two or three days.

I had the awesome fried chicken at MOM's!
Photos, and ending with a joke that I hope will not offend anyone. (if so, complain to me and I will promptly remove it)
