It's starting to get cold so I'm trying to keep the rides a little closer to home. We haven't been here for a little over a year but the last time was a good feed.

TIME....................11:00

Here it is.............. Firehouse Cafe
1824 E. 4th. Ave
Hutchinson, Kansas 67501

Sitting here looking out of the window I'm slipping deeper into a funk by the minute. There are white flakes falling from the sky. I knew it was inevitable, but the first snow is always a big let down for me. The weatherman promises a somewhat better day tomorrow. At any rate we will be leaving from the Sleep Inn at 9:30.

Well we are headed for Hutchenson again. I'm still traumatized from the last time. I got to our meeting place of the Sleep Inn a little later than usual, but still in plenty of time. My foray into the wilds of Kansas left me a little gun shy this time. We had Terry in the lead this time so I felt much more at ease. Now if I can keep up through the lights in Hutchinson I'll be OK. We gathered six of us together and launched for Hutchinson. All was going well and I hoped for that to continue. I had a rough idea where the Fire House was but I also had a rough idea where the last place was. We rolled into town and I did manage to keep up. About a block before we got to the Fire House things started to look familiar. I was soon set at ease by the sight of other bikes and we got parked and I set about getting snap happy. Just about the time I was finishing up the outdoor shots our elder statesman Gibbo rolled up. A living example that you don't quit riding because you get old. You get old because you quit riding. Keep it rolling Gibbo. I did manage to get inside and did my best to dodge the waitresses and not interrupt the flow of commerce while I got my pictures. Finally I managed to find a seat and catch my breath enough to place my order and enjoy a good meal. With a full belly and lethargy setting in I went outside to kick some tires. Eventually I found myself pretty well spent so I hit the road back to Salina to comfort my traumatized dogs.
