North Central ROMEO Lunch Ride for 7/12/17

There was considerable doubt as to whether or not I would make this weeks ride. The rubber on my bike was getting pretty thin. But alas, I just checked the tracking on my order and the new tire should be here Tuesday. I will have my noble steed re-shod in time for the ride.
The weather is forecast to be a real scorcher every day this week so I set us up for a breakfast run at a little place we haven't been to in about a year.
Our world peace summit drew a larger than usual crowd. Breakfast choices at home being rather limited I opted for something they identified as chicken strips and fries. I took their word for it. After seconds of deliberation we settled on a departure from the Sleep Inn with the dawn patrol at 8:30. When I got home I threw caution to the wind and put my bike on the lift and pulled the rear wheel and unmounted the tire banking on my new tire being delivered today. I went inside to catch my breath and soak up some AC and decided to check to see if the tire arrived yet. Wonder of wonders, it was sitting on the front porch. So all you camera shy people will get no reprieve tomorrow.
