The Fried Pickles were a big hit at our table :D Of course you can't beat their Tenderloins :shock:Winter Texans have fun in many ways....but have you ever been to the "Donkey Races" As we say goodbye to Bob and Fran we are sad to see a lot of our "Winter Texan Friends" start heading back to their "real" homes. Whether you are here a week, 6 months or longer the VALLEY is a fun and happy place to spend the winter months. After lunch were fortunate to be able to take a tour on the River Grande River. Thanks to all of you who supported the trip. We had to have 25 to make the boat run and we had 33 ;) Although many had made the trip before, it was fun to share the "adventure" with our ROMEO friends.ALL ABOARD :!: ROMEOS filled the boat and everyone had a good seatLeaving Riverside for the GREAT ADVENTURE :) .Our captain was entertaining and informative. Of course, Boarder Crossings and the WALL were a topics that everyone was interested in. We had an "up close" and personsl view of the situation. Our Captain made a special effort to get us close to the dam so we could see BOTH the American Flag and Mexican Flag in the same picture. The border goes right down the middle. The US flag is in the US and Mexican flag is in Mexico. I think we were in Mexico and without our passports :?: :?: Were we illegals :?: :o  .Some Romeos thought we were getting a little too close and were holding on tight  Lots of border patrol. I don't remember seeing the Highway Patrol boats before. As we were leaving the dancers in their pretty skirts were begining to arrive. You could tell, it was going to be another fun afternoon at Riverside. The VALLEY is a special place. It is always hard to leave....
