Shrine Kids Run Sept. 12 - Wichita

Steve Towns told me that his Electraglide Elite group is sponsoring the Shriners Kids Run again this year. Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 12. All proceeds benefit the Shriner's children's hospitals and the transportation fund. These guys provide a lot of free medical care for children, and free transportation to the hospital for treatment. Our nephew benefited from their efforts about twenty years ago, and I had a chance to see first hand what good work they do.

Cost to enter is $30 before 9/1 and 35 after 9/1. You can get a ticket the day of the run, or beforehand at the Shrine Temple (130 S. Topeka.) Registration the day of the ride opens at 8:oo AM, with the last bike out at 10:00 AM. They had some nice prizes last year, and it was a great ride.

A good cause, and a good excuse for a nice Saturday ride.
