South Central Lunch Ride: April 15, 11:00 AM

The weather forecast for next Wednesday looks pretty good right now: seventy-one degrees and only a twenty percent chance of rain. It sounds like an excellent day to ride.

We've been to Galva once before, for breakfast last year. Let's try lunch at the Hungry Mann's Cafe next Wednesday. Galva is about fifty-five miles from Wichita, less than an hour's ride.

There's a fried chicken buffet at lunch on Wednesdays, or you can order off the menu. The buffet starts at 11:00, so you early arrivers may have to wait a bit. The last time we were there the Hungry Mann's Cafe wasn't taking credit cards, so be sure to bring enough cash for your meal and a tip.

It was cloudy all the way up and all the way back, but we didn't see any rain. It was just cold enough that a lined jacket and overpants were comfortable. We had thirty-four show for lunch in Galva, on thirty-two bikes. The bikes traveled a total of 1900 miles (one-way) to the Hungry Mann's Cafe.
