Tues 4/7 Glory B's Pleasant Hill MO

Post by rcrgl1800 »

Its election day and Roger is working at the polls and has asked for help this week. Its been a year since we went to Glory B's in Pleasant Hill so its about time we went back. I talked with Linn this morning and they are excited to have us back. Breakfast all day. The weather forecast at this time doesn't sound that good for riding as they are calling for a 80% chance of rain. Maybe the forecast will improve before next Tuesday and it will be a good riding day.

This is the café where the Kansas City Area Romeos had their first lunch. This is a list of those attending that first ride.
Larry Showalter Edgerton, KS
Duane Spieker Shawnee, KS
Junior Kilburn Independence, MO
Mike Herrmann Shawnee, KS
Bob Hagen Raymore, MO
Bill Ferguson Merriam, KS
Manfred Schlenrich Belton, MO
George Lowe Belton, MO
Don Spangler Lenexa, KS
Roger Shores Leawood, KS
Don (Klem) Duncan, Wakarusa, KS
Jerry Matson Shawnee, KS

Several of these guys still ride with us every Tuesday.

See you Tuesday.

35 plus Romeos made the trip to Glory B's in Pleasant Hill today and I believe all made it home without rain. The weather was 68 and light clouds when we left this morning. The temp was 78 and the sky was partly sunny when I returned home. Thought I better get my mowing done as the forecast calls for rain for the next couple of days. That's why this report is so late. The crew at Glory B's did a good job of taking orders and getting food to us. Everything was good including breakfast and lunch. Thanks to the Romeos that made the trip. Following are a few pictures taken today. I don't know if Bob got any pictures but if he did I am sure he will post them.

I think a day that starts out misty and dreary makes the food taste better! There are some neat businesses and several points of interest in Pleasant Hill, the refurbished old train Depot, at least one museum and a bicycle and coffee shop. I wanted to pull on some spandex and have some java, but there just wasn't time, dang it.
