Reading is a favorite we haven't been to in awhile but with forecast of 70F and sunny the 11th (at this writing anyway this is Kansas after all) it's time to start going a little bit farther. Several of our group rode to Garnett today to visit SE ROMEO's--still had piles of snow around the cafe parking lot but a great day to ride
Miracle Cafe will be serving us their popular Meat Loaf Special with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies OR green beans--they're making a large pot just for Larry#2
They also will be serving breakfast until 11:00 for those who want to come early. See ya there at:

NOTE: Highway 170 is now open which helps if coming from Topeka vicinity. BUT if coming from the south that scenic little stretch north from Lebo across Melvern Lake is closed. No biggie, just a heads up, since it should be a nice day to take a longer route whether road closures make that necessary or not

GREAT day for a ride and counted a whopping 60 bikes there with Hoser's help. Though a few showed up early for breakfast, at lunch we kind of overwhelmed the little Miracle Cafe this time since they had rather limited staff on hand: 1 cooking and 1 serving! But IMO they did a pretty good job of keeping things moving under the circumstances and had a good salad bar going for those who had to wait a bit on the special. Lots of riders took off afterwards for pie or just more riding after it warmed up and turned into the most picture perfect ROMEO day yet this year. Here are a few pics...
