Lunch 11 AM February 11, Wooden Spoke,Baldwin City, Ks

Post by schoolmaster »

We'll try and keep it centrally located so cagers and bikers can both make it work depending on how early it warms up next Wednesday. We're going to venture to Baldwin City, Ks. and hunker down for lunch at the Wooden Spoke Bar & Grill. They don't open until 11 so this is a lunch only day. They may let us in a little early but the kitchen doesn't open until 11. So let's meet for lunch next Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 11:00 AM at:

The Wooden Spoke Restaurant Bar & Grill
203 1st Street
Baldwin City, Ks.
785-594-2222

Gary will have the ride map posted at the following link:

You'd think it was a great day to be a ROMEO because so many people wanted to be one today. On a brisk, chilly day with winds out of the north, 28 brave souls ROMEO'd today, with 10 or 11 of them on motorcycles. Baldwin City is a really nice little town and the Wooden Spoke turned out to be a great place to eat and they were very accommodating. They started letting us in around 10:30 for coffee and to get out of the cold but the kitchen didn't open until 11, but that was ok because there was some serious visiting going on.
It seems like no matter what the weather, everyone's ready to get out on 4 wheels or 2 and enjoy some ROMEO time. It was fun to get in even a short ride today and see everyone that showed up. As it turned out, it was another great day to be a ROMEO!!

The Wooden Spoke provides some nice benches in front to sit outside, and it wasn't too bad because you were protected from the north wind.

It appears that Keith is reading to #1. Nice to see the winter Texans beginning to emerge in the North. Sort of like crocus in the spring.

Nice to see that they are saddling up for Valentine's Day. BTW, this picture is a reminder that you need to do something nice for your Valentine sweetie on Saturday if you haven't thought about it yet.
