Yes, I said ice cream and that means Central Dairy in Jefferson City!!

But to go all that way we need to have a little nourishment, so I have called on Dan D. to lead us to his hometown St. Elizabeth, MO for lunch at Miss Kitty's, 209 S. Walnut. I have made this ride with Dan before and it is really nice. He takes us down along the Osage River on a road that twists almost as much as the river!! If we are lucky we might even get a little Fall Color.
Some of you might be old enough to remember Miss Kitty from Gunsmoke. Well if we are lucky, Miss Kitty might be working on the day we visit.
After lunch we will make a short but beautiful ride into Jefferson City for ice cream and then head home on Highway 50. From Lone Jack to Lone Jack is 288 miles and takes about 5 hours without stops. So this is going to be a long day, but it will be a relaxed, beautiful, fun ride.
For those going with us to St Elizabeth and Jefferson City, it is kickstands up at the Lone Jack Cafe at 8:30 sharp. They open early for breakfast if you want breakfast before we take off.

I hope you can join us, but we understand if you can't. If you don't want to ride to St Elizabeth enjoy your meal at the Lone Jack Cafe.
Recap:
7:00 am to 11:00 enjoy a nice meal at the Lone Jack Cafe
8:30 am Kickstands up for those wanting a nice ride to St Elizabeth, MO
140 miles 3 hours with a "comfort stop" at the Casey's in Eldon, MO
12:00 pm Lunch at Missy Kitty's, St Elizabeth, MO

left home this 8:00 am with 47 degrees and clear skies. Arrived home 4:30, 77 degrees and clear skies. Between all that 324.8 miles through some of the most beautiful scenic countryside available. Thank you Roger and Dan. For those that made the trip you know what I mean. For those that couldn't make the trip, wish you were there. Start making your plans for next year.

Proud to be a Romeo

Thank you Randy. I agree, there aren't many days better than today. I guess we know WHY WE RIDE!!!When Glenda, Dan and I arrived for breakfast we didn't have any problem finding a seat. But by the time the folks at Dollar General came running out of the store telling us they smelled gas and the fire department was on the way, we had around 13 riders. That was funny there was no one in their parking lot but us and I thought they we telling us to get out of the fire lane :o Sure enough as we were leaving Lone Jack the emergency response team was arriving.By the time we stopped for gas in Eldon we were joined by our favorite "Masked Man" (Gary)and from Butler Bill showed up, showing us he had a lot of clothes on and he was indeed a ROMEO :D and also joining us along the way from Butler was Proud to be a Romeo -- Randy and Ted on that pretty red Goldwing. We were lucky to have a real photographer along who is going to try to post a video from his Go Pro Camera. We DID have a beautiful ride. Genda was really happy to see Dan and Vicki arrive. Glenda does not like to be the only lady. And the rest of us were glad to have two such lovely ladies along.Possibly Danny and Norm. After our beautiful ride we arrived in St Elizabeth, where Dan was able to tell us the history of every building and which one of his relatives owned it.He related this one as having a dance floor and raise band stand on the second floor.and this is the infamous MISS KITTY's.You have heard the expression "like hearding cats" well this is most of the group. I think Miss Kitty fed 16 and was very happy. It is for sure Penny will never let Ted out alone again. Miss Kitty was in rare form and entertained everyone. The BMW boys left late and almost beat us. They we able to "hone" their skills on the curvy roads.A big ROMEO Thank you is extended to St Elizabeth's for great hospitality, good food and a good time. This favor is "MUDDY ROAD". I was told it was a favorite of the motorcycle riders  These smiles tell it all. We had great day and a bunch of fun. Thanks to you for making this such a fun day.
