South Central Breakfast Ride: Wednesday, July 16, 9:00 AM

Post by roginoz »

According to my records, we haven't been to Kingman in nearly a year. (How'd that happen?) So, it's time to head to Jeri's Restaurant. It's only about forty miles from Wichita, but we can always take the long way home to get in a few extra miles.

Right now, the weather for Wednesday looks pretty good. We should have mild temperatures all day, and very little chance of rain.

Bobz Bikes is just down the street and around the corner from Jeri's, if anyone wants to do a little window shopping after lunch.

By the way: We need some good breakfast places down south. Let me know if you have suggestions. (An address and phone number is appreciated, too.)

TIME:

9:00 AM, Wednesday, July 16

PLACE:

Jeri's Restaurant
312 N Main St
Kingman Ks 67068

It didn't look like much of a day to ride, but the heavy rain held off until we got home. I ran into some light sprinkles west of Goddard on the way out, and some more light sprinkles from Kingman to around Cheney on the way home; barely enough to merit use of my rainsuit.

We had eleven people turn out for breakfast at Jeri's, eight of us on bikes. Total miles (one-way) for the bikes was 425. I don't know if Charlie got outdoor photos, but I did see him moving around the dining room with his camera in hand. Check back for his photos.

I hope to have a new destination for next week, after I call and confirm in a day or two. The ride should be posted before Saturday.

Photos, not many this week. I made the last photo yesterday, decided to share it. I rolled the pickup today (and used the windshield wipers).

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure.
