26th Annual Blue Valley Riders Poker Run - Manhattan, KS

The 26th Annual Blue Valley Riders Poker Ride is scheduled for Sunday, September 22, 2013 In Manhattan, KS. This poker ride gives back 100% to the participants and includes a 100 mile ride through the scenic flint hills around Manhattan. After the ride, participants will enjoy a meal at the Cottonwood Shelter in Tuttle Creek State Park that includes drinks and desserts donated by the club, a 1/2 & 1/2 pot and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and worst hand payouts. In addition, local motorcycle shops provide motorcycle items for additional drawings. There is no requirement for a Kansas State Park sticker.

If you plan on attending this weekends BVR Poker Ride in Manhattan, KS on Sunday, be advised that HWY 99 from I-70 to Wamego is under construction. Chances are, they won't be working on Sunday. However, the road is ground down and very rough from I-70 to the Wabaunsee/Zendale Road. Recommend using Hwy 24.

Thanks to all the ROMEOs that participated in today's BVR Poker Ride in Manhattan, KS. I hope you enjoyed the event.

We had 85 participate in the poker ride with 100% payback of all money collected. The event paid out $605 in poker ride money, $260 in 1/2 & 1/2 pot money sold by Walt, and purchased 30 large pizzas. Along with free beverages and desserts, City Cycle Sale HD Kawasaki donated over $200 in drawing prizes. Brooks Yamaha in Manhattan provided free beverages and donuts during registration.

The best part of the day was the scenic ride through the Flint Hills. All seemed to enjoy it. Again, thanks to all who participated and hope to see you all next year.
