Spring ROMEO Rendezvous April 26th and 27th

Post by bucky »

  Hey it's to start thinking of the Spring ROMEO Rendezvous. This year 2016 it will be held at the Holiday Hotel in Eureka Springs Ark. on the last Tuesday and Wednesday of April. This is the same Hotel we had last year. Everyone seemed to like it allot. If you to last years event pictures that Bob took you can see what the Hotel looks like, and good pictures of the awards. Butch, Allen and I took a ride down there last fall to talk to them. They said that they enjoyed the Romeo's so much that this year they would give us a good discount on the room's. So tell them thanks.

Most people show up Tuesday afternoon. We shoot the bull on the parking lot for awhile then everyone goes out to eat. You're on your own for supper Tuesday night. On Wednesday most people go for a ride on the great roads in the area. Meet back at the Hotel at 6:00pm. We will eat at the nice Buffet by the Hotel. After supper, around 7:00 or 7:30pm we meet in the Hotel for the Awards and 50/50 drawing.

So make your plans now.

Eureka Holiday Hotel
3010 E Van Buren,
Eureka Springs, AR 72632
800-986-9733 or
(479) 253-5040

Tell them you are with the ROMEO'S for your discount.

The 800 number was down for a while, but I got through today to make a reservation. Someone set up a good deal for us: two queen beds for fifty-nine bucks a night.

I'll be riding down on Monday, April 25; not sure at present how many other South Central guys are going.

The 2016 Spring Romeo Rendezvous was another home run! The weather looked iffy, some of us did have to travel in the rain, but the Romeo powers that be, made the Arkansas weather perfect. There was a storm Tuesday over night, but it just washed the bugs off and most of us didn't hear it. A great day of riding Wednesday and absolute fun talking and being together before dinner across the street. I'll show the awards and thank you's in a separate post. Bob, You did a great job with the pictures and really captured the fun of what it's like to go to the Rendezvous. I think Bucky ought to make you the "official 'professional' photographer"! Thanks to your efforts you really do share with everyone what happens on our rides. And BTW, thanks for the plaque. My wife immediately thought we should hang it right in the center of the living room above the fireplace. Well, actually that was just my suggestion, and she told me she'd certainly think about it.
