South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, November 25, 11:00 AM

Junior suggested that we try the Triangle Restaurant, in downtown Douglass. I don't believe we've been to this place since I've been riding with the ROMEOS, but Junior's recommendations are running at about 100%. Let's give it a try next Wednesday.

The lunch menu at the Triangle includes hot beef sandwiches, hot pork sandwiches, burgers, chicken fried steak, and a Wednesday special of ham and scalloped potatoes. They also serve breakfast until 11:00, if you're one of the early birds.

Douglass is about twenty-five miles, or a half hour, from Wichita. The weather is a little unsure right now, but it's a short drive if the day turns out to be unrideable.

The clouds were a bit ominous, but we dodged the rain; it was a little windy, so it just felt like we were going faster. We had twenty-three ROMEOs, on twenty-three bikes, show up at the Triangle Restaurant for breakfast and lunch today. The bikes traveled 743 miles, one way, to Douglass. Despite the coming bad weather, it was a good day for a short ride.
