South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, April 22, 11:00 AM

Time to move south, or west, or both. How about Kristy's, in Anthony? The pizza and salad buffet is good (and quick,) and the sandwiches (which take a bit longer) are excellent. Everyone seems to like the food, it’s a nice trip down there, and the staff and locals are always friendly.

It's about sixty miles to Anthony from Wichita; a nice ride if the weather is good, and not too far to drive if it isn't. Right now it looks like Wednesday will be a decent day to ride: a high of seventy-six, southerly winds at ten miles per hour, and the rain shouldn't hit until after we're home.

We had thirty-four ROMEOs, on thirty-four motorcycles, in Anthony for lunch today. We rode a total of 2245 miles (one way) to get there. The food was excellent; I had a great salad and some very good pizza, and Mickey gave the lasagne his seal of approval. We kept the staff hopping, but they still seemed happy to see us. Kristy's is a great place for lunch, and we'll be returning. Charlie will have some photos posted later, so check back if they're not up when you read this.
