Gary's map makes it easy to plan a route and know how long it will take to get to our lunch. Thanks Gary.

If you were at Papa Bob's last week you know a reporter from the Kansas City Star was there. Linda Cruse is writing an article about the ROMEOS. This week she is sending a photographer to Wellsville to take some pictures to go with the article. I picked Smokey's in Wellsville, because I love the looks of the place and the old cobblestone pavers. In my mind it kind of typifies what RETIRED OLD MOTORCYCLISTS is all about.
We had a big crowd last week and I am expecting a even bigger crowd this week. I went by to see Darren at SMOKIES to get his thoughts. Although he can only seat 72, he was more than excited and said if we split up some for breakfast and some for lunch like we usually do it should be not be a problem. So you breakfast eaters might want to go a little earlier. Linda says the Star doesn't usually take group posed pictures but if they do I told them 10:30 to 10:45 would be a good time. The breakfast eaters would be finishing up and the lunch folks will just be getting started. Darren said they would work for him.
Darren even contracted the police chief who knows us and has even ridden with us. He has given permission to block off a few parking places in front of Smokies. In fact he said he may even come down and help park So be on your good behavior. This is a favorite place or Eastern Kansas, in fact I am borrowing it from them. I told Smokies we might break 100-----and he just SMILED.
HOPE YOU CAN MAKE IT TUESDAY

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I am loving those Royals and I look forward to every game.
I think we made our HUNDRED, Rene' owner of Smokies, sure thought we did It is had for me to think of anyone who wasn't here today (Marilyn George and the Oatmeal Gang), several I hadn't seen in awhile (Peculiar). I think Chanute was the farthest. The Wednesday riders from Eastern Kansas Romeos diffinitely made their presence felt. Thanks for sepreading your eating out and I am sure patience was needed by some. You are a good group and I hope you enjoyed yourself.Hi Frank The Professional and Serious Kansas City Star Photographer.GOTCHA She gave me a hard time about taking this picture from the "rear". Their piece will be in the Star on May 17, hopefully a long way from the Obits. They don't know what pictures will be used in the article, but said they would send the pictures to me to put on the Romeo website. Thanks for coming today, it was a beautiful day and I hope you got some riding in.

Roger, were you there to count when Ron C. brought in his big group? We met them coming in on 33 from the north right at noon.
Bob, no they weren't in the count. They would put up over 100 for sure!! Roger

Re: TUES 4/21 SMOKIES BBQ, WELLSVILLE, KS
A good friend has a house at th 18 mm on Lake of the Ozarks. Last year while bar hopping on his boat we saw a huge cabin cruiser dock, with a couple of "attractive dock hands" on the boat. The boat was named. "She got the House". How appropriate!
