After consulting with my friends at NOAA, it would seem like a good idea to keep this ride as centrally located as possible since they are saying that we may not see spring-like weather next Wednesday. So let's have lunch at the:

You all know the drill here. They don't open until 11 AM and they have an extensive lunch menu, but this is the special and about 90% of you order this chicken fried steak because you know it is good for you!

So we'll see you on Wednesday around 11 AM (if you get there a little early they'll let you in and sell you coffee) at the Slow Ride.

It was another cold day in Eastern Kansas with a high only in the mid-20's but 23 ROMEOS decided to get together for lunch at the Slow Ride in Lawrence. There were actually 4 motorcycles in attendance today, not bad for a cold late winter day.

No one seemed in a hurry to leave today as everyone hung around and visited because it seemed like a great day to be a ROMEO. Prospects for next week's ride look EXCELLENT as mild weather is in the forecast so it should be fun to break the "close-in" routine we've been in for the last couple of months. I'm sure Swanee will come up with a winner for next week as my wife and I will be out of town (actually not too far, just in Kansas City where we're staying in there during the Big 12 mens' basketball tournament starting on Wednesday).
