TUE 1/27 TODD'S DINER, GARDNER KS

Post by Parkville Rider »

As we are back from our Arizona trip and over the flu (welcome back home  ) will try to fill in for Roger who is still enjoying the Texas coast. I did hear he has the GW back from the shop, but with unknown diagnosis. Anyway, right now the weather guessers are saying Tuesday next might be a good day, but who knows? I noticed we haven't been to Gardner for awhile, so Mary & I made sure Todd's Diner was still in business and warned them of our impending visit next week. Last time we were there was 2013! My how time flies. They serve breakfast until 3 P.M. and offer a full menu of great food. Be warned, their portion size does not meet normal dietary guidelines; i.e., they serve too much food, so plan on taking most of it home or come really hungry. It's not that large of a place, so be patient in case everyone arrives at the same time. Heather and Alicia will be our servers. Hope to see you there. BTW, if you're looking for something to do afterward, drop by the New Century AirCenter and watch the planes OR if you want to visit a first class indoor shooting range, stop by Centerfire Shooting Sports, 875 North Jan Mar Court, Olathe, KS 66061. It is one of the nicest shooting facilities in the metro area.

The weather gods blessed us with a cool but decent day for our lunch today. We had told the ladies at Todd's last Friday to expect 20 to 40, and we probably underestimated by 20 or so. :? None-the-less our servers did a great job of taking orders and delivering some great food on a timely basis. We had several ask why we had not been there in over a year as it certainly seems to be a Romeo natural. If anyone arrived after 11:30, there may have been even more as that's when we left. Hope everyone had a safe ride home. Good to see Randy back with us! I tried to take several bike and people pictures which follow. Thanks for coming and please try to enjoy another ride tomorrow as the weather even looks better. Just check the Romeo map links and GO!

Gary, Great ride report. Loved all the pictures. It was a beautiful day and you did a really nice job of capturing the crew with both people pics and bike pics!
