This will be our last lunch ride before winter. (I could swear that winter has already arrived. Must have been the snow and cold that fooled me...) We'll keep riding, or driving if the weather's really ugly, throughout the winter month, just a bit closer to home.
Next Wednesday looks like we'll have a high of forty-five degrees, after a low of twenty-nine the night before. There's a twenty percent chance of rain, but I expect it will come later in the day. It looks like a good enough day to ride, if you bundle up a bit.
The Whistle Stop Cafe, in Walton, is only about thirty miles (and thirty minutes) from Wichita, so we can wait a bit for the sun to warm things up before we have to leave home. If the weather changes for the worse, it's close enough for a trip on four wheels. They serve breakfast until 2:00 PM, in addition to the lunch menu.
I still have shirts, long and short sleeved, if anyone needs them.

I felt kind of bad about showing up in a car, until I realized that I wasn't the only one. We had fifteen people, no motorcycles, and one 1954 Ford show up in Walton. A couple of the North Central guys were able to join us. The "wintry mix" hadn't started to fall, but it was sufficiently cold at 11:00 AM. We all had a good meal and a chance to shoot the breeze, and the folks at the Whistle Stop were glad to have us come by. Charlie was taking photos, so there should be some indoor shots posted shortly.

Just a few snaps today. First photo was made as we gathered at Alefs Harley-Davidson before the car ride to Walton.
