South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, November 26. 11:00 AM

Post by roginoz »

Here's your last chance to eat something other than turkey for a few days. Join us next Wednesday for a burger or steak in Winfield. It's been about seven months since we visited American Legion Post 10. The food is always good, and they treat us like family. They have really good steaks, if you're really hungry, but there's also soup and salad, sandwiches and burgers, chicken, and seafood. (No turkey that I'm aware of...)

Wednesday looks like the warmest day next week, with no chance of rain. Right now, the Weather Channel is calling for a high of fifty degrees, width no chance of rain. Fifty miles in fifty minutes from Wichita to Winfield should be a good pre-lunch good ride. If it should happen to turn cold or wet, hop in the car and join us anyway.

Roger Shores, our T-shirt connection, is going to try to ride down from Kansas City to have lunch with us. He'll have my most recent T-shirt order with him, so I should have the long sleeve (and short sleeve) shirts some of you have been waiting for. Hopefully, he'll have a few ball caps and ROMEO stickers, too.

We had another good turnout in Winfield today: twenty-six people and twenty motorcycles. Total miles (one way) ridden to lunch on the bikes was 1069, boosted by Roger Shores' 200 mile ride down from KC. The food was good, as was the service and the company. It was a bit windy, particularly on the way home, but a decent day to ride if one was bundled up a bit. Charley will have some photos up soon, if they're not already here when you read my post.

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure.
