Lunch 11am Oct. 1st, Pepper Patch, Carbondale, Ks

Post by swanee »

I'm afraid the forecasts look "wet to wetter" so far for Wednesday though we need rain so that's not a bad thing. Good time to revisit a place that's just a quick hop into Osage County, the Pepper Patch in Carbondale. IF weather clears then there's some good "pie foraging" from there in several directions for those who want to get in some more riding.

Sandy who runs (owns?) the place was happy to hear we're coming back. She said the usual special on Wednesday is Spanish Potatoes which is a favorite with their customers and can also be had in a half-order for those not quite so hungry. Or you can order off their menu of Mexican dishes. They don't serve until 1100 but will have the door open before then for those who might want to come in out of the rain and/or get a cup of coffee.

Regardless of whether you ride or drive your cage be there at:

Pepper Patch
115 S Topeka St, Carbondale, KS 66414
(785) 836-7555
(Next to Casey's near Hwy 75)

PS: Forgot to mention this place also offers BURGERS and a chicken strip basket if you want something other than Mexican!

A great day for 19 Romeos at the Pepper Patch in Carbondale. Started out with a very light shower while waiting to open but ended a fantastic day to ride.

I think almost everyone headed out for pie somewhere.

Pictures will be added soon.

Hi Guys & Gals,

Today started out dreary but sure ended up really nice. It was sprinkling when we left home & some while we were waiting to get into the Pepper Patch.

Out of the 19 ROMEOs only 4 came on 4 wheels.

I think quite a few went for pie afterwards, I know we did....

Here are the PICs Linda took.....

THANKS to Bill and Linda for some excellent pics! A day that started out very "iffy" weather-wise, which cut down on the crowd, but we did have people quite a ways from Carbondale come riding in for what transformed into a beautiful day.
