2014 Spring ROMEO Rendevous Followup

Post by bucky »

:D :D First off would like to thank everyone who came. The weather was a little cool riding down, but at Bartlesville it was in the 50's, so not to bad. It was fun to meet and greet everyone as they rode in from there different area's. We all had a good visit in the motel on Tuesday afternoon and went out to eat that evening. On Wed. morning it was a little warmer. Rain was forecast for the afternoon. We left for Woolaroc at 10am. It took a little over two hours to see most of it. Went back to Bartlesville for lunch. After lunch we were going to do some riding in the area but it started to sprinkle. We went back to the motel and had a good visit . Then we did the ROMEO tradition.( Took a NAP.) That evening we all went to the Golden Corral and had way to much to eat. We meet back at the motel after supper for the awards.
There were 37 ROMEO signed up for the Rendevous. Joey Crawford from Mountain Home, Arkansas won the long distance award. Lee Sevart from Wichita, Ks won the most experienced award. Jerry Laquet Gardner,Ks won the loose screw award. Roger Shores presented Duane Buck with a guarding bell for the high mileage award. We passed a card with a picture of Mick and his new Indian around so everyone could sign it and wish him a speedy recovery. We missed you Buddy. Hope you can ride soon.

Everyone seemed to have a good time and was glad to start the 2014 riding season off with fun overnight ride.

Would like to thank Bob K for the great pictures he took, which really tell the story of the 2014 Spring ROMEO Rendevous.

Thanks
Bucky
