Fools in April Campout

Tax time is not far off and that means it's also time for our 3rd annual Fools in April campout at Pomme De Terre lake in Hermitage, Mo. Dates are Fri & Sat--April 15th & 16th.
This year we are going to have a "Hobo Stew" pot on Fri nite. Bring a can of vegetables, potatoes, beans or tomatoes==anything that would simmer well with ground beef. Also bring your bowl and spoon and whatever else you can fit on your bike. Plenty of restaurants, convience stores etc in the area.
Outlet park, Highway 254, entrance road at SW end of dam, then all the way to the end for our group site.

This is a fun ride with a great campground area and shelter. Anyone preferring a motel can probably find one fairly nearby. We had a good time last year and all should enjoy the weekend. Nothing formal, just relaxation. Thanks to Leo Clegg and Terry Potter for making the arrangements.

Well the weather sure stunk. Per schedule, next year should be great. This year though, the appropriate name for the outing should be 3 WISE MEN and the Fools Campout, don't you think Ken and Walt?

You guys just left too soon. Terry, Lee, Dan & myself had a great ride via back roads to El Dorado where we all rode the new 800 Triumph--a really smooth and quick machine. Sun came out and it was 72 or so ( and dry). Bob and Kat joined us later along with Larry B and Jerry. Campfire (with oak), Coffee pot, adult beverages and a full moon--WOW. Looking forward to next year, rain or shine.
