Tuesday 5/14/24 Jamie’s Place or American Legion Post 58
Option A this week is Jamie’s Place in Holden, MO. We were here last October, and I vowed to get back more than once a year. I was curious and checked to see when we first went to Jamies. August of 2009--almost 15 years. They will be expecting us around 10:00am. I hope the weather is okay. Right now, there is a chance of rain. 2, 3 or 4 wheels, I hope to see you there.

Option B this week will be the American Legion Post 58 Smithvelle, MO, we have not been there before as a ROMEO Riders Group, but I know the lady that manages it so we'll give it a try. She has reserved the back room for us. Forecast is for Warm and 40% chance of thunder storms. They don't open 'till 11:00 see you then, as always be safe!

We had 18 ROMEOs and 7 bikes on a cloudy, drizzly morning at Jamie's Place in Holden. After the beautiful day last week, I was concerned that we might have a small turnout today -- I should know better. Although it was dreary outside, inside it was lively and everyone was having a great time. The back room was pretty much full when I walked in and I got chided for only being 10 minutes early. Shortly after I got there a couple that winter and ride with the ROMEOs in Texas joined us. We enjoyed visiting and sharing stories with Rick and Trish and hope they continue to join up with us through the summer. On his way out Joe stopped and visited with one of Jamie's customers and came back and told me he had a ROMEO recruit. I went and visited with Ted and I think he will also be joining us. I know you will make him feel welcome. Jamie's did a great job for us and said that we are always welcome. We'll be back. Hope everyone stayed dry on the way home.

We had a small turn out this week at the American Legion in Smithville. Only one rider and 11 ROMEOS , drizzly cool weather and other obligations kept our attendance down. Those of us that were there had a good time, service was great, and the food good.
