Any of you wondering how long it’s been since the last time we’ve been to Downtown Easton Cafe? My last recollection is February of 2023. Because so many of us are accustomed to riding to Easton’s Hill Top Cafe, I’m posting a word of caution for the sake of keeping anyone from making a common mistake when heading to Easton, Ks. My point being, we’re going to downtown Easton Cafe, NOT Hill Top Market! . . . I repeat, NOT Hill Top Market! Just a little minor detail that I thought some would want to know.
Downtown Easton Cafe is a small place but can support our group of riders adequately. As you will see from the photos in this post, Sherry is our host, a die-hard Romeo supporter, also the Cafe’s owner/mgr. and cook. Breakfast is served until 10:30am and lunch begins at 11am. The weather so far is forecasted to be in the 80’s. So, there you have it, wishing to you all “Happy Trails” & I hope to see ya there!

What an eventful day! The weather couldn’t have more perfect, all sunshine and roses. Upon my arrival the house was packed with Romeo riders . . . just as I suspected on such a beautiful riding day. Today was one of those days when our trickling in one by one was almost essential, just to get everyone in and served. The last count I got for bikes was 25 and that was after some had come and gone.
It was good to see Joe Purinton today, who came from Lamar, Mo, 166 miles away. Joe leads the Lamar Romeos (better known as “Retired Old Men Eating Out”) in SW, MO. They have changed their meeting times from Wednesdays to Thursday's. These are the guys that have been meeting together for breakfast over the years. If you’re interested in riding down to meet with them, you can find them each week by clicking on this link below:
