Ashlie's Homestyle Family Restaurant is a fairly new business, having opened up in early 2022. But it’s not a new place for the Romeo Riders. We frequented this place in days gone by before its new management. I’ve had the privilege of chatting with the new owner, Denese, on several occasions, and she seemed to be quite delighted for the Romeos to return and give her an opportunity to be our host.

For those who know the Romeos, we love those accessible, down-home restaurants that offer up comfort and tasty family meals. Do you know what I mean? The kind of restaurants that make you feel right at home the second you walk in the door. I get the feeling here that you'll find good food and simple comfortable surroundings that will immediately make you feel like you're visiting friends.

OK! On that happy note, enough said, I’ll let you be the judge. So, let’s saddle up and make our way to Ashlie’s Homestyle Family Restaurant on the square in Oskaloosa! Hope to see you all there!

Hey gang, it was a cold damp day to ride (I said, cold damp day, just in case anyone would interpret it otherwise) LOL! The last count as to how many of us came was right close to two dozen. My guess this morning was that we would have less than half that number of riders today.

By the way, Don Spangler rode his Can-Am this morning. Those of you who know the story about the ole’ Can-Am will be interested in how he fixed it. It will surprise you! And did you see the pancake Jim Girton ordered. I think his eyes were bigger than his stomach!
