If I may, let me take a moment to thank all of you for being so generously kind with your support over the past three years. It’s been much appreciated and has been my pleasure! I can’t thank you all enough!

For our next week’s ride, we’ll be heading to LITTLE RUSSIA CHILI PARLOR. For those of you who haven’t been here before, it has been around for many years, but now has been opened under new management since November 2022. In bygone days this space was the home of C.W. Porubsky Grocery & Meats from 1947 until May 2022. Porubsky was a neighborhood market delicatessen in a 30-seat tavern. It sat across from the railroad tracks in the Little Russia district of Topeka. Railroad workers stopped their vehicles on the tracks and walked over to Porubsky for lunch.

I thought this might be good time to do a winter lunch ride in Topeka. Especially when looking at the weather forecast. As of now it’s predicted to be in the upper 50’s for a high. Can you believe it, after all the snow & ice we’ve had? On the positive side of things, I won’t look a “Gift Horse” in the mouth and be glad for any good weather we get. So, “Happy Trails” to everyone! “Lord willing & the creek don’t rise” I’ll see you there!

What a gorgeous day for riding! Who would have ever “thunk-it” . . . a 65-degree day in January illuminated by full sunshine and blue skies. Then to be followed by two more days just like it, WOW!

Everyone seemed to enjoyed a little bit of the “Little Russia” district in Topeka & it’s Chili Parlor. The chili and deli sandwiches were quite tasty and hit the spot for all of us hungry mortals. Anyway, I didn’t hear any complaints about the food! There was a very good turnout for the day, and we almost filled the parlor to capacity.

Ok, enough said, let’s get right to the chase as to why everyone comes to view the WEB. It’s SHOW TIME . . . which is all about the photos of course!
