South Central Lunch Ride: Wednesday, September 27, 11:00 AM

Post by roginoz »

It's one of our old favorites, but somehow we haven't been to the American Legion in Winfield for quite some time. The food is good, and they really like to see us, so I guess they've just gotten lost in the shuffle. The menu includes great steaks if you're really hungry, but there's also soup and salad, sandwiches and burgers, chicken, and seafood. Generous portions and reasonable prices, too. There's a reason a lot of locals eat lunch there.

It's only about fifty miles (or fifty minutes) from Wichita to Winfield, and the Legion doesn't open until 11:00. If you're an early bird you may find yourself kicking tires in the parking lot. Might as well just catch a little more shut-eye before heading out.

American Legion Post 10 took super care of us today, as usual. All setting at my table choose the special. The food was good, server lady was friendly and fun to visit with. I suggest all was pleased today.

The table I sat did not see the book, I did not think to ask about the book, I did not photo the book - I am not sure if the book was on location. Bottom line, I know nothing that I usually acquire from the book.

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure.
