Tues 9/05/23 Pegah's Lenexa, KS or Rae's Cafe, Independence, MO

Option A this week we will head to Pegah's Family Restaurant in Lenexa, KS. I told them we would be there at 10:00am. The restaurant is tucked into the Quivira Crossing Shops shopping center on the north side of 87th street just west of Quivira.

Option B this week is Rae's Cafe in Independence, MO. Rae's Cafe serves breakfast and lunch all day (they close at 2:00), it looks like the heat is back, so I think 9:00 is a good time, don't forget if it's your first time there you get a free delicious cinnamon roll! Check the daily board for specials.

Since I was doing my civic duty as a juror on a criminal Clay County case, Wanda took over as photographer for the Romeo Gazette today. Even with some stray showers, there were 17 Romeos at Rae's Cafe. Looked like a good time!

Ok, I’m filling in for John while he is taking a little R&R in Texas. We’re all feeling his absence and will be glad to have him back home safely. It was good to see everyone and meet some new acquaintances. It was reported by some of our riders that they had to dodge a few drops on their way to today’s gathering. Hopefully today is the last of our prolonged heat wave that we’ve been enduring for these past few weeks.

Oh, shucks, listen to me! Things could be a lot worse, aren’t we glad we’re not in Texas right now! On that happy note, let’s look at the photos and see how the day went.
