Looking at the forecast, it’s going to be another one of those “Early Bird” rides right dab in the middle of the Dog Days of Summer.” As for me, I think I’ll be saddling up again for an early morning ride in order to beat the day’s heat. For most of our Topeka guys and gals, it won’t be a real long-distance ride. And nothing to say about it being another one of our all-time favorites. I just talked with Becky, the new owner, and she is eagerly looking forward to our coming.
Angela, who is no stranger to many of us, is still making those most delicious legendary pies which are YUM! YUM! If you haven’t tasted one, you need too! So, let’s saddle up (or) scoot yourself into your ole’ trusty 4-wheel carriage and come on over to Dover. One thing is for sure, you’ll not want to miss out on this ride. Breakfast orders until 10:30 am, then lunch at 11:00 am.

I haven’t been here in a while and I’m not sure if there’s still a buffet-style lunch or not. But if you’ve been here before, you know their food is “down home country cooking” delicious. Breakfast or lunch is your choice, either way you will not leave hungry. So, “Happy Trails” and hope to see you all there.

It is seldom when you arrive at a Romeo ride destination that you won’t see a row of bikes all lined up pretty as you please. But this morning was one of the exceptions …“nar-ee” a single bike could be found this day at “Sommerset Hall” in Dover, Ks. There were some real “toad soakers” coming from KC until we got to Topeka. But in spite of it all we gathered over a “baker’s dozen” to once again reminisce and share our stories. Tadd & Janet from Independence, Ks. got there 45 minutes early to hold us all a table. Becca, our waitress did a fabulous job of serving us some good old country cooking. Here’s how it all looked!
